My Setup

I've been running Unraid + Proxmox in production for years, managing everything from media servers to data engineering projects. Currently exploring TrueNAS Scale (expect posts on that soon!) because ZFS is calling my name.

Some of my more interesting projects:

  • Built custom OpenWrt routers from scratch using AsiaRF WiFi modules and Quectel 5G modems
  • Run a complete media streaming setup for personal use
  • Mess around with data engineering pipelines in the homelab
  • Constantly test new mini PCs and storage hardware

Why I Write

I started this blog because I got tired of half-finished tutorials and guides that skip the important details. When I'm troubleshooting at 2 AM, I want answers that actually work—not SEO-optimized fluff.

So I write the guides I wish existed when I was starting out. Clear, detailed, tested on real hardware.

The Approach

Honest reviews. If something sucks, I'll tell you. If it's great, you'll hear that too.

Real hardware. Everything here is tested on actual hardware, not theoretical setups.

Updated content. Tech changes fast. I regularly update older posts to keep them relevant.
